InFocus M560 Smartphone Review

Mobile/Smart Phones by stefan @ 2016-05-03

By featuring the low-powered MT6753 octa-core mainstream SoC, InFocus M560 can deliver enough performance for most applications, while maintaining a very good battery life. Unlike other smartphones in the same segment, the M560 model is equipped with a high-quality FHD screen, a gorgeous unibody back chassis, one 13MP camera which is able to take good photos and the 2GB of RAM gives it the ability of running more applications at once. Manufactured and designed by Foxconn, we also get a very good build quality and thanks to the dual trays we can have installed two nanoSIMs and a microSDHC card for extended storage at the same time.

The Android GUI Part I

InFocus M560 does come with a custom launcher and the default Android buttons are available on-screen as we have mentioned before; there is no application drawer so all newly installed applications will appear on the desktop multiple pages, where we can also create folders. By default, we also have a folder which will be populated with the frequently used applications:

While most of the Google applications are stored in a single folder, we do get to see the next batch of installed applications on the second page:

The third preset page does have a calendar widget available, along with two additional folders:

Alright then, let’s begin! First we do have Google Play Store, which is the place to go for installing tons of

free or paid games or applications:

My Music is a beefed-up Music application integrated in the current firmware which is in charge of playback audio files and also comes with online services attached:

Gallery is the stock MTK application for viewing photos but with a slight GUI redesign:

Here are the Google applications pre-installed with this ROM:

First we have the Google application which features its cards and facilitates the search activity:

Google Chrome is also available with the InFocus M560 ROM:

Gmail becomes operational right after we log in with our Google account, but we can also add other accounts to be checked simultaneously:
