Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2016-04-04

Not long ago, we have had Func Inc, a gaming peripheral from Sweden and even tested some peripherals from them: MS-3 Gaming Mouse, Surface 1030 XL pad and the MS-2 model. After Fnatic team has tested most of the peripherals brands products on the market, they have decided that Func has a lot of potential and have acquired it; from here Fnatic Gear was born and in this article we will explore the new products from the company, which were built based on the past experience in this field.

A Closer Look Part II

Also, where the Func logo was printed now we do have the Fnatic Gear logo:

The right side of the mouse sports same characteristics regarding the shape but this time no extra interfaces are available:

A Flick product logo can be also observed near the front:

The mouse scroll wheel also has a rubber coating on top, while the semi-transparent plastic underneath is LED-lighted:

What can be found on the bottom of the Flick? Well, first we can see some tiny PTFE feet in each corner, while the ADNS 2120 central lens cover the ADNS 3310 optical sensor which we have also found with the Avior 7000 mouse from Mionix; if we have started the discussion about technical specs, we would also like to remind that the Flick does have at its core the Holtek HT68FB560 MCU 8-bit microcontroller which does also supply 256K of memory for storing profile settings directly to the mouse. We can also remind the users that the Flick comes with a resolution of 5000 CPI and a tracking speed of 130 IPS for a total of 6500 frames per second. As we have seen with many other gaming mice, the polling rate can be adjusted up to 1000Hz:

Right after connecting the mouse to a spare USB port, the scroll wheel along with the profile LEDs with light up; we have seen these design elements at the Func MS-2 too:

Besides the Flick G1, we have also received the Boost G1 Control mouse pad (L size) to try along with the mouse; the product is shipped inside a cardboard slim enclosure which is also fully sealed:

On the top area of the packaging, the manufacturer has placed a photo of the pad design, along with the size we are getting; in our case, the L-sized pad is 340x260mm:

On the back side we will get to see some of the product main characteristics:
