With a read speed over 45MB/s and writes well over the Class 10 standard, we can say that the EXCERIA N301 is a good choice when used along a wide range of photo cameras but also Full-HD video cameras. Packaging, A Closer Look

Toshiba has recently outed a new series of SD cards for different purposes. The EXCERIA N301 we are going to look upon in this article does have a full-size SD card format and is meant to be mostly used in high-end DSLRs, regular point-and-shoot cameras but also for Full-HD cameras. As mentioned by the manufacturer, these cards are X-RAY proof and the quality of the storage is ensured by Toshiba (inventor of flash memory). The product is shipped inside a simple blister packaging so we can also take a good look at the main product itself through a transparent plastic window. The N301 is rated UHS Speed Class 1 with a read speed of 48MB/s:

If we turn the enclosure on the other side, we will get to see some more details on the product, a compatibility notice but also the fact that this item comes with a 5-year warranty:

After removing the outer cardboard layer, we will get to see the N301 protected inside a transparent plastic enclosure, with a seal on the back:

The card does feature a frontal sticker representing the supported standards, speed ratings, but also the total storage space:

We do also have a locking mechanism on the left side of the card:

Of course, on the back side we will get to see the gold-plated metallic contacts but also several serial numbers:
