Motherboards/Intel S1151 by petervandamned @ 2016-02-16

Today the MSI Z170A Xpower Gaming Titanium Edition has arrived, looking astonishing in this new PCB coating.

All the new features like dual M.2, USB 3.1 gen 1, USB 3.1 gen 2, Nahimic audio enhancer and a game boost knob plus separate OC panel. Wow this is one bad boy!

Adding Some Parts

In this Z170 series motherboard we need Intel 1151 CPUs, and I am using the Intel 6700K with the unlocked multiplier.

For thermal paste i am using Gelid GC-Extreme.

We need some power too so i will use my trusty Seasonic 1000W Platium as we have been testing way back in this little review .

And we could use the integrated GPU on this motherboard, but I prefer adding some extra power with a Titan X

Mixing this with a good set of memory in this case G.skill TridentZ DDR4 2 x 8 GB at Standard 3600 Mhz.

For installing the Windows 10 64bit I am using the Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD

Are we missing something? We need some cooling for that CPU. Air and water will be the case.

Starting with a Thermalright Silverarrow SB-E Extreme:

And later we will use water on a EK-Supermacy Clean full nickel waterblock.
