Razer Mamba Wireless Chroma Gaming Mouse Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2015-10-29

Accompanied by the “lighter” Tournament Edition Mamba, the fully-fledged version also includes a battery to help with its wireless function and an adjustable click force mechanism for the left and right click buttons. The new Mamba version has been also included with the Chroma series so an insane number of configuration possibilities are available for its LED lighting system; the charging dock is not left alone, itself having LED lights under it for a nice effect when it sits on the table. Razer has included with the latest Mamba and Mamba TE versions a 16000DPI 5G laser sensor which is very accurate and can be configured with a polling rate up to 1000Hz.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

Since its introduction in February 2009, the Mamba mouse has been reincarnated multiple times and it is time to take a look at its latest iteration, which gathers some of the goodies Razer has previously introduced on other products like the Chroma lighting, the race-car like frontal metallic grills as we have seen with Ouroboros and Taipan and more. The product is shipped inside a medium-sized cardboard box, with the iconic theme Razer employs for some time now:

On the box sides, Razer is detailing the main product features of the Mamba 2015:

The main product components can be checked on the back side of the box, along with the charger module:

The box opens up like a book in order to reveal a detailed product description; we will be also able to spot an additional container, in which the mouse along with the bundle are stored:

As some other select manufacturers, Razer has a very good attention to detail regarding product packaging:

After lifting the top cover of the internal enclosure, we will end up with the document which welcomes us to the Razer Club:

By removing it, we will uncover the documentation, along with the main product itself:
