MEIZU M2 Note 4G LTE Smartphone Review

Mobile/Smart Phones by stefan @ 2015-09-21

The mainstream offering from Meizu has impressed us plenty as the MX4 did in the past; despite the low cost price ($159.59 at GearBest at the current time of review), we are offered a very good 4G smartphone with dual-nanoSIM capabilities, a sleek rounded polycarbonate body, small screen bezels for keeping the size to a minimum, a dual function Home button, good quality cameras, a mainstream 64-bit octa-core SoC from MTK and a potent battery for more than enough standby times.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

In this review we will take a look at the Meizu M2 Note 16GB Chinese version smartphone which is currently available at GearBest (their UK warehouse); they also have at the moment of the review other colors available for it like blue, white but also the International model ready, which has different 4G supported frequencies.

Our sample order has arrived in a completely sealed cardboard box with the product logo on the top area:

Some more details regarding the smartphones can be checked out on the small sticker which sits on the bottom side of the packaging:

After the removal of the top cover, we will get to see a nice arrangement inside, even if we are talking about a mainstream smartphone from Meizu; the contents are placed inside a plastic-molded surface:

Under the smartphone compartment we will also get to see some documentation and under that we will find the USB cable:

Let’s take a closer look again at the accessories:

-USB data/charge cable

-power adapter with US plug

-SIM ejector pin

The power adapter is pretty compact and the output specifications are written on its bottom (5V at 2A):

On the top we will get to see the usual USB port for charging purposes:

The USB power connectors have been also been a bit customized:
