Today we are going to take a look at another SSD from OCZ, the ARC 100 which is meant to cover the mainstream segment. This model is built with a newer Toshiba MLC NAND technology, incorporates the Barefoot 3 M10 controller and lacks additional accessories for keeping a lower cost; the product is shipped inside a small cardboard enclosure, which retains the iconic OCZ box art:
On the back side of the enclosure we will get to see some of the product features along with a small product description:
The main product is held inside a transparent plastic mold, but we are also offered documentation, in form of a small manual, but also a leaflet which informs us not to return the SSD to the retailer if something is wrong with our product, but instead call OCZ directly:
The ARC 100 SSD comes with a large sticker on the top side of the chassis, which also covers the four mounting screws; this way it becomes almost impossible to disassemble the product without damaging the sticker and losing the warranty:
On the bottom we will get to see an additional sticker which lets us know of the product code name, serial numbers, currently installed firmware, but also the power rating:
