iconBIT Toucan Nano 4K Android Mini-PC Review

The Toucan Nano 4K is a powerful mini-PC from iconBIT which houses at its core one Amlogic M8 SoC which has its four CPU cores clocked at 2Ghz and is paired with no less than 8 GPU cores (Mali 450), 2GB of RAM and 8GB of NAND. The device is capable of 4K video playback and runs two pre-installed launchers (iconBIT Media Center, Nova Launcher), but also XBMC.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

iconBIT have updated their line-up with the Amlogic M8 SoC-powered Toucan Nano 4K, which can output up to 4K video and has a familiar casing as we have seen at previous HDMI mini-PCs. The product is shipped inside a medium-sized cardboard box, which has a photo of the main product printed on top:

 

 

 

On one of the box sides, we will be able to take a look at the technical specifications, but also at a schematic of the interfaces:

 

 

 

 

After lifting the top cover, we will be able to spot the small PC chassis well-protected and surrounded by white foam:

 

 

 

On the bottom layer, the manufacturer has placed the accessories:

 

 

 

We will receive one AV-out cable, the power adapter, one HDMI cable, one remote and fresh batteries for the remote:
