Audio/Speakers&Amps by stefan @ 2014-06-23

Luna Eclipse 2.0 speaker system takes part of the Edifier Image product section, which implies a stylish and unique design. This model is pretty compact, comes with active drivers for both high and medium frequencies while the lows are taken care of by two passive radiators which are placed in the back of each satellite. The speakers are also equipped with Bluetooth and for a more convenient control method Edifier also supplies a slim and sleek IR remote with removable battery.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

Edifier has its offerings split in three different categories: Image, Multimedia and Studio. The Image brand provides stylish and unique speaker systems which can fit with a variety of applications for home, personal or business use. One iconic product in this section can be considered the Edifier Spinnaker, which have an abstract horn shape and come in two different color flavors. The Luna Eclipse set we will describe in this review have a much more compact design and are mostly suited for desktops. As the Spinnaker, these two are offered with gloss-red and gloss black finishes, so you can choose the one you think it fits better with your current setup. The packaging is quite compact and is fully sealed on the outside with a transparent plastic film:

With this one removed, we will be able to see a photo of the speaker system on the top side, along with the included remote control:

A more in-depth product description which is written in multiple languages can be found on the opposite site:

Considering the box shape, Edifier saw fit to also include a convenient plastic handle:

Manufacturer seals are also present on the sides, for even more security:

If we remove the top packaging layer, we will end up with a plain cardboard box, which retains the same dimensions:

The professionalism does continue with the packaging; both speakers along with the remote are placed in a specially designed mold, while the rest of the bundle is housed in a separate cardboard box:

On the cover of the box we will also find a black envelope, which holds, as you would expect the documentation:
