Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 16GB 1600MHz C10 Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit Review

Thanks to the extra clearance the Vengeance LP memory kits offer, we are able to mount even bigger CPU heatsinks or accommodate them inside cases with cramped space. The modules have different colors depending on their technical specifications and as far as we have seen the stock speed can be raised a bit more in order to benefit from more bandwidth.

Conclusive Thoughts

Again we are dealing with a high quality Corsair product which was built in a low profile format in order to accommodate bigger cooling systems. The kits are available with heat spreaders of multiple colors, at both 1.35V and 1.5V and in single, dual and quad channel configurations.

While the memory kit we have tested inside this article does not sport stellar specifications, the manufacturer still provides a small overclocking headroom so we were able to run at 1866MHz by relaxing the timings to CAS11 (11-11-11-28). We have tried further to go to 2000MHz but at this time neither more relaxed timings nor higher voltage (1.65V) was able to make the system bootable.

The Vengeance Low Profile 16GB 1600MHz C10 Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit is available online for about 127 Euros.

We would like to thank again to Corsair for making this review possible!
