Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

Before starting with the presentation, let’s research a bit the name Kraken NZXT uses to describe their latest all-in-one water cooling systems. The name comes from the Norse mythology and resembles a large sea monster which resembled an octopus which could be spotted in the Greenland Sea.

The Kraken X60 cooling system comes shipped in a completely sealed cardboard box:

On the frontal side of the same box we will be able to see a photo of the product along with the information that the item also has 2 years of warranty:

By looking on one of the box sides, we will be able to discover the list of compatible sockets, but also some of the improvements that come with the new revision:

A more complete list of technical specifications is to be found on the opposite side:

Lastly, a product description can be also found on the back:

The manufacturer has sealed the enclosure on both sides:

When looking at the cardboard mold inside the box, we have remembered quickly of the Antec Kuhler series that we have reviewed back in 2011, which were also based on Asetek, but a much earlier revision:

The Kraken X60 comes with not one but two 140mm fans, each packed separately; besides these we also have a bag with mounting accessories and a small manual:
