PowerColor Radeon HD 7790 TurboDuo 1GB Video Card Review

Videocards/VGA Reviews by stefan @ 2013-05-13

The new Radeon HD 7790 TurboDuo 1GB card from PowerColor features overclocking from the factory and a custom cooling system with two fans and a heatsink with a single heatpipe. The fan speed profile was tuned for achieving good temperatures and by raising the clocks even further from Catalyst Control Center, we can squeeze the last performance drop from the card.

Packaging, A Closer Look

Our next VGA review is concentrated on another Radeon HD 7790 card, but this time from PowerColor. The packaging looks quite interesting, with the TurboDuo logo made from embossed transparent plastic; the rest of the box shows us logos of some supported technologies:

On one of the box sides, we will see a small sticker which holds the product serial numbers:

The back side will come with some of the product features, but also power and system requirements:

Inside the box, we will find the card, wrapped inside an anti-static bag and carefully placed so it won’t move during the transport:

The cooling solution features two fans but unlike XFX, PowerColor have chosen to go with a plastic cover:

Both fans are surrounded by a red plastic frame:
