Videocards/VGA Reviews by stefan @ 2013-05-06

The latest AMD Radeon HD 7790 GPUs feature a revised AMD PowerTune Technology implementation, with 8 states, more shader units compared to the versions and higher frequencies. The XFX Black Edition implementation comes with raised speeds from the factory and an enhanced Double Dissipation cooling system for a good efficiency, while maintaining low noise levels.

Packaging, A Closer Look Part I

The latest Radeon HD 7790 Black Edition from XFX is shipped in a similar packaging as we have seen with their Radeon HD 7770 at the beginning of last year. Right from the start we can see that we are dealing with a factory Overclocked version:

The sides of the packaging will present us the technical details regarding the GPU:

In the same areas we will also find out that we will get a 5-star support from XFX after we register on their website:

Some of the product enhancements can be also observed on the back side of the packaging:

The System Requirements, along with the Supported OSes and Box Contents can be seen on the bottom side of the box:

Nearby, we will find an additional sticker, with the model code number, which we can check on the website, along with some serial numbers:

The inner box is quite simple and less modern compared to the one we have gotten with the 7770 SOE:
