Our HGST Travelstar 7K1000 sample has shipped as a bare drive, without any accessories:
The 7K1000 has a height of 9.5mm and on its top we can see listed lots of extra information; like on all 2.5’’ drives, we must avoid putting pressure on the top side of the drive. The Travelstar 7K1000 comes with two 500GB platters and features Advanced Format, which increased the physical sector size from 512 bytes to 4096 bytes (4K):
Here we can learn of its total storage capacity, the rotation speed, the power rating, supported SATA standard, firmware version and many more:

It could be another year before WD releases a 2x500GB platter 7200RPM laptop drive who knows
I hope Seagate doesn't stay with the news that they are ditching 7200RPM laptop drives. I want a 1TB 7200RPM hybrid drive with 16 or 32GB of flash memory!
