The LIVESTRONG themed case from Otterbox takes part of their Commuter Series of cases and it comes with two layers, made from silicone and a durable polycarbonate outer shell. The product supports a noble cause and that is to inspire and empower anyone affected by the cancer disease and will provide funding for RadioShacks' $6 million commitment to support LIVESTRONG and fight against cancer.
The laterals sport similar designs, with the exception of the left volume button covers and the clearance for the Mute switch:
On the top we’ve got the cover for the Sleep/Wake button, along with the cover for the audio jack and the orifice for the second speaker:
The back side comes with the orifice for camera lens and flash LED:
The secondary layer (polycarbonate) adds strength to the case and must be mounted after the initial layer has been installed on the phone; here are some snapshots of it from different areas:
On the back, we have the LIVESTRONG logo, along with the Otterbox company name:
The silicone layer can be installed on the phone quite easily and it’s very flexible:

Looks identical to me? (except for the apple logo cut-out) the rubber part protecting the headphone socket broke after 8 months; the rubber that protecting the dock connector is starting to wear also now and becomes harder to remove. I can understand that covering those holes will help with dust buildup, but iPHone 4S requires daily charging, so that makes for heavy usage of that tab, and if you like to listing to audio... several times a day that tab for headphone was used. I bought Commuter and Defender in April 2012. I ended up using the Commuter daily with iPhone 4S. Will post some pics this evening of the state of the case and iphone which was placed brand new into the commuter case. |
