A Closer Look Part III

The MK-26 is enclosed in foam material and is also wrapped in a transparent plastic bag, for additional protection:

The accessories can be found on the bottom layer of the box and are packed separately; we do find here a Prolimatech case sticker, the backplate with the mounting system and necessary screws, the fan clips and adapter, the small heatsinks and a syringe with the PK-3 thermal compound:

Inside the box we will also find two extra re-sealable plastic bags containing tiny heatsinks along with some screws needed for Nvidia platforms:

Prolimatech likes to call the heatsinks "heat dissipation plates", have two different sizes and can be mounted as instructed on the small leaflet drawings:

The MK-26 is quite large and incorporates a system of 6 heatpipes that go in and out of the GPU plate, on both sides; the heatsink is able to house two 120mm or 140mm fans:

The pipes are of Ø 6mm, type; sintered metal powder wick:

On both sides of the heatsink we will see the heatpipe terminations:

By looking at the bottom of the cooler, we will see the nickel-plated GPU plate, covered by a transparent plastic film:
