Tokyoflash Kisai Seven Limited Edition Watch Review

Others/Miscelleneous by stefan @ 2011-11-21

Tokyoflash has surprised us with another unique watch which became a reality, built after a concept submitted at the Tokyoflash Design Studio Blog, by Scott Galloway and was inspired by one of its favorite movies, TRON. The central display resembles an "Identity Disk" and can be animated in three different modes. The battery inside can be recharged via USB and it can last up to one month on one charge, if the animation modes are not selected.

A Closer Look Part II

For avoiding other deformations during transport, we can find extra protective sponge between the watch and the strap too:

Initially, the front side of the watch is covered with a transparent plastic material:

Here is a closer look on the front side of the watch, with the protection removed:

On the sides of the circles we can find two additional "seven" shaped designs:

One of the laterals houses the two configuration buttons (named button A and button B), along with the USB screw cap:

The other side has the Kisai product logo:

The strap is fixed with a butterfly clasp mechanism which is placed on the interior:

Here is a photo with the mechanism opened:

Underside the watch, we can find the Kisai logo, the name of the watch, along with the rechargeable battery name:

The only issue about this watch (if we can call this an issue) is the fact that the strap was designed for only one time adjustment; for adjusting it we have to put the watch on our wrist, pinch the two sides of the strap together for estimating the desired length of each side of the strap:

After the measurements have been made, we can start cutting both sides of the strap, along the engraved lines next to the pin hole:
