ARCTIC K481 Wireless Keyboard with Multi-Touch Pad Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2011-11-16

Added as an extra accessory for the MC001, the K481 Wireless Keyboard from ARCTIC can be used successfully without the need of a mouse thanks to its Multi-Touch Pad which is quite responsive; the keyboard was designed mainly for Media Center uses, and not for other activities like gaming or writing documents. The keyboard does not have the possibility to recharge batteries and comes with a set of regular 1.5V AAA.

A Closer Look Contd.

The keyboard has an average size and it was built specifically for Media Center applications, not office work:

Some keys on the right have double or triple functions; the other functions can be activated by pressing either the Fn key (blue key functions) or Num Lock (grey key functions):

On the right we've got the function LEDs available, some multimedia keys, the multi-touch pad and left, right mouse buttons:

The bottom of the keyboard preserves the same all-black color and in the center we can find a sticker with the keyboard power rating and serial number:

In each corner, we also have some rubber feet, in case we are using the keyboard on a table or other type of surface:

Here we can also find the battery compartment; to avoid mistakes when positioning the batteries, we have the respective polarities drawn on the surface of the plastic:

The keyboard does have a standby function to save battery life, but also an On/Off button that we can flip in case we won't use the product for a long time:
