The iP3 Audio System from iHome is a fully featured iPod/iPhone dock, that does not need extra plastic inserts and shares a lot of features with the more expensive model, the iP1, like the Line in jack for connecting external sound sources, Component Video out connectors or the Bongiovi DPS Acoustics.

A Closer Look Part III

A small instruction paper can be also found with the product, but it is not really applicable, because this model does not come with plastic inserts:

Here is another photo of the iP3, removed from the protective foam box:

The iP3 shares some style features with the iP1, for example the outside smoked plexiglass frame, which adds a lot of style to the product:

In the center, we can find the dock connector and buttons on either side:

The back of the installed iPod/iPhone is held by a small rubber bumper:

On the left side of the connector, we can find the Bongiovi DPS button, along with the on/off button:

The right side holds the Volume -/+ buttons; through them we cannot modify the Bass/Treble levels, but only with the included remote:

Here is a lateral view of the product:

When looking from the back, we can see the speaker ports, and some connectors:

The connectors are the following (from left to right):

- line-in for plugging in other external audio devices

- component video jacks for displaying videos on our iPod/iPhone to TV

- AC power jack
