The Ballistix Smart Tracer modules are held together with cardboard and are packed independently in transparent plastic enclosures:
After the easy removal of the plastic case, we can observe that the nice heatsink design has been maintained from the older Tracers and have the Crucial along with the Ballistix Tracer logos imprinted on both sides:
On the sinks we can also find a small sticker representing the complete product code, which also tells us the modules have a XMP profile, their rated speed, timings and voltage:
The Ballistix Tracer series is unique because of the light effects it can deliver; the SMD LEDs present on the top of the PCB can light up in two different colors, blue and orange:
On the bottom of the modules, we can find some other SMD LEDs, that light up the motherboard PCB area near the memory slots:
With the downloadable Ballistix MOD Utility from the Crucial website, we can configure the lighting system per each memory module (both top and bottom LEDs):
