Jetway Mini-ITX NC98-525E-LF Motherboard MultiMedia Review

Jetway is well know for their Mini-ITX motherboards. Based on the Intel Atom is this a perfect base for a small energy saving and environmental friendly HTPC or Home server system. Jetway provided us a D525 CPU and GT218 gpu motherboard and we will take it through a series of multimedia tests. Already served well in a previous review for Home Server we will only focus on the HTPC part.

Power Supply Issues and BIOS Explored

Before I was able to start this system I must say had some problems finding a correct power supply. According to Jetway 70 watt's by 12 volt should be enough. So I hooked up a old notebook powersupply with the correct connector

No go!

Then I took a 120watt auto volt switching brand new notebook power supply with correct connector

No go!

But the Vidabox CubeCase has a 150watt power supply. So with some modding got this one working just fine. Doesn't win the price for best looks, but the system will be placed out of sight.

Go Go!

Let's have a closer look if this mini itx Bios has any secrets for us? Pictures say more than words here.

Time to install an OS :)
