Introduction + Tools

Hi there,

I got the idea for this little project, when I realized I had no power tools whatsoever. Although I didn’t have any power tools, I still wanted to cut a nice logo out off my case.
To do this without power tools, I needed some soft material --insert plastic front bezel--, And to cut this up I would need something sharp --insert sharp kitchen-knife--.

After this incredible think work, I was off searching a logo. Logically this became ‘[M]ad’.

Leading us to the needed ‘tools’:
. Sharp hobby/kitchen-knife, for the major cutting.
. Some small nail-files, to smooth everything up.

Also needed:
. soft material (I used a face-plate)
. your cutout logo

The first step is securing the logo to the face-plate, some paper-tape will do just fine.

Next we’ll have to get that logo on the face-plate. The easiest way is too simply ‘press’ it in there, using the sharp point of your knife.
Make sure you don’t go exactly on the sides off the logo, ‘cause you’ll need a little spare material too clean up with your vile.

Once you’re done, you should get something like this:
