For those who are tired of space-hogging desktop keyboards which are packed with multimedia keys you never use, Coolermaster has released a stylish solution. After using the Coolermaster Q Alloy keyboard - a notebook-sized, sleek aluminium keyboard - you?ll throw your old one in the garbage and never look back.

Final thoughts

Final thoughts:

Unless you use your computer for nothing but gaming, or if you're perfectly happy with your 5$ no-name keyboard, I would honestly recommend this CoolerMaster keyboard.

Priced at a reasonable 40$, it's equally expensive as decent Logitech or Microsoft keyboards. So which one to get? You've got to ask yourself: do I want a large keyboard with plenty 'multimedia keys' for surfing/gaming, or do I want a stylish slim-sized keyboard for more serious work?

Personnaly I've barely used the multimedia keys my logitech keyboard has in the past 2 years. The Coolermaster might be less fit for gaming, it is better in every other aspect. The odd placement of special keys may be annoying in the beginning, it's only a matter of time before you get used to it.

PRO
  • no-nonsense design
  • quality
  • soft touch
  • noiseless

CON
  • placement of some keys
  • not ideal for some games
