 Then it?s just a matter of hooking up the Kama Connect to a spare USB port with the included cable (which is average in length, not too short and not overly long).  A PATA and SATA device can be connected at the same time, it works flawlessly, copying between the devices however is not really advised, performance is quite low. We tested a 320GB Western Digital connected through onboard SATA with HDTach3.0 and Sisoft Sandra, read and writes tests were done. Afterwards the tests were repeated with the hard drive connected through the Kama Connect.  Windows XP sees the Western Digital Hard Drive as an USB device These were the results:  The maximum transfer rate is considerably lower, but still high enough for copy/paste sessions and listening/viewing your collection of media files stored on the external HDD. Access times remain relatively low considering the data is now traveling over the USB 2.0 cable. Overall the Kama Connect will come in handy for those who want to expand the optical/storage devices of their machine and/or laptop with a maximum of flexibility.
