  Introduction

LanCool might be a new name in the case enclosure market, the people behind the brand are no newcomers. LanCool is actually the budget brand spin-off from Lian-Li; so what’ll see will be Lian-Li inspired case designs, features and overall look, but made from less expensive materials and marketed at a lower price segment.

Today we tested their latest product from the Dragon Lord K Series.

The K series exists of several variations based around the same core case design; adding more fans, a window cutout and other extras. We’re testing the PC-K58 which is priced at ~€70 which makes it a direct competitor to Cooler Master’s CM690 which we reviewed here.

Specifications

The main structure of the K58 is steel which adds to the overall weight, not the ideal LANparty box if you travel around a lot; but it packs quite a bit of features for those who swap hardware on regular basis:

In the K58 you get 2x fans, but require special optional kit to mount any fans in the top panel, unless you get creative of course.
