With the winter holiday season approaching people are looking for new products to put under the Christmas tree. With the economic recession in full force a new video card which costs less than €200 might be more feasible this year. In this review we take a closer look at a custom designed Geforce 9800 GTX+ from Sparkle.  Specifications We have tested a Geforce 9800 GTX in the past from Gainward here, the revised GTX + increases the shader and GPU clocks to give the card a fighting chance below the €200 price point. The original Geforce 9800 GTX and older 8800 GTX specs compared below:  And the new kid on the block: the Sparkle 9800 GTX+  The GPU got 9.3% boost, the shader clock only 8.6%, memory clock stayed the same. The original 9800 GTX didn’t quite live up to its product name, seeing as the older 8800 GTX was able to keep up with it nicely, thanks to its 384-bit memory bus and larger memory size.
