Introduction
Today we test and compare 3 different webcams, this is a first in a series of articles covering the different webcams available on the market.
We start off with three models from MSI, StarCam Genie, StarCam Racer and StarCam Clip II. We take a closer look at these webcams, comparing their features, options and possibilities. Also check out how they handle image quality under different light conditions.
MSI has many products in their line-up, granted they are most known for their motherboards and VGA cards, they have expanded toward webcams not that long ago and have already several models available.
The three tested today differ quite a bit going by their looks:
 
Specifications

From the specifications table above you can see that the StarCam Racer and StarCam Clip II share the same hardware, the Racer has the added advantage of InfraRed lightening. The Genie is the most affordable unit, it has lower resolution for snapshots and movies, also lacks the IR and has smaller angle of view.
The StarCam Genie and Racer are available throughout the USA and EU, the Clip II is mostly only in EU.
