Introduction
Ultra is not exactly a newcomer to the enthusiast market, they have been around for several years now providing the market with CPU coolers, power supplies, ATX cases and much more. Today we take a closer look at an older product from Ultra, the Grid ATX case was released about one year ago, since then more powerful video cards and processors have hit the market, lets find out if this case can deal with it.
The Grid design follows the updated Intel specifications with a small twist and addition here and there. It came delivered to my doorstep packaged in two boxes, the outer box was none-descript the inner box (which you see pictured below) was wrapped in bubble-wrap, in short, the case arrived in excellent condition.

The Ultra Grid is a mid tower case so make no illusions to fit a dual VGA system with tons of hard drives and water cooling inside, what is should be more than adequately big enough for is your run of the mill gaming system with either single or dual core CPU and one high or mid-range graphics card, a couple of hard drives and a selection of 5.25 devices.

The main structure is from steel which makes the case not a light weight, its smaller size however does prevent it from becoming a burden to carry around; in fact, I took it took a LAN party last weekend without issue. The out finish in a nice reflective black which isnt too susceptible to finger prints. The left side panel features a window, an in-take with air duct near the CPU area and a grill near the VGA area. You can also see the tool less features of the 3.5 and 5.25 devices, but more on that later.
