Cooler Master Aquagate Mini Review
Cooler Master Aquagate Mini Review
Cooler Master is introducing the Aquagate Mini in both 120mm and 80mm configurations. While water cooling CPU can be tedious at times with the associations of adding water, testing for leaks, finding the right pump location dealing with reservoir and bleeding. The new Aquagate Mini might well be the "Bic" of computer water cooling.

  Introduction:

Madshrimps (c)

Water cooling a CPU could well be the only way to cool their proudly owned rigs to some enthusiasts, who may claim water cooling provides peace and quiet, bringing overclocking to new height and naturally earning a spot within the enthusiast community. To others, water cooling can lead to motherboard swimming in a pool of water together with the lack of courage in becoming a plumber and electrician.

Reading some of the water cooling system reviews may scare a few people away with all the tubing, pump, radiator, reservoir and relays jam into the a box requiring a few engineering degrees just to complete the installation, let alone the "unsightly" look.

Cooler Master Aquagate Mini may well be able to convince this group of people that "water cooling" can be done as simple as flipping a "Bic ball pen". Let's find out.

Key Features

1. Easy-install Combo
  • For a more convenient installation, the Combo includes a water block set, radiator, fan, thermal grease, anti-icing fluid, and a water pipe. All of the parts you need are readily available, thereby cutting installation steps and saving your time.

    2. Adaptable to many different processors
  • Universal retention module for Intel® Pentium® 4 (Socket 478/LGA 775), Xeon® (Socket 603/604),Celeron® (Socket 478), Celeron® D Socket 478/LGA775), AMD Sempron™ (Socket A/754), Athlon™ XP (Socket A), and Athlon™ 64 (Socket 754/939/940) processors.
  • Can be used in all kinds of Φ6.5mm pipe liquid cooling systems.

    3. High cooling performance
  • Copper-based water block for excellent heat dissipation
  • Selectable high-performance radiator with 80 x 120 x 45 mm and 120 x 160 x 35mm dimensions (Designed for chassis with 80x80 / 120x120 mm case fan)
  • Enlarged radiator for higher heat transfer efficiency

    4. High reliability
  • No refills of anti-icing fluid for two years guaranteed (Testing environment: Ambient temperature 45°C and humidity 50%)
  • Low evapotranspiration ratio thanks to special opaque and heat-resistant elements in the pipe

    5. Longer life expectancy
  • Fan-restart function: a self-protective feature that allows the device to smoothly initiate a restart if the fan malfunctions
  • Fan speed control: Selectable super-silent 80 x 80 x 25 mm VR fan (1,800 ~ 3,800 R.P.M.) and 120 x 120 x 25 mm VR fan (800 ~ 2,800 R.P.M.)

    6. Design patent information (patent pending)
  • Two-in-one module (pump and CPU water block) saves time and is more convenient

A tiny label listing the pump specs was found on the pump.
