 Today we have 2 coolers from an upstart company called Primecooler in our labs which show a remarkable resemblance to the Zalman heatsinks. We set out to see how they perform, read on to find out if these Zalman look-a-likes are also perform-a-likes.   The cheaper of the two is made out of copper and aluminum:  Hypercool HC I While the more expensive HC II is made completely out of copper:  Hypercool HC II Both heatsink feature a 92mm fan which spins at normal speed of ~3000rpm which translates to 32dB. The + in the product name means that particular HSF comes with an adjustable speed controller. Using the Speed controller you can further reduce noise to 20dB at ~1700rpm. It looks also pretty much the same as the Zalman counterpart:  Although it performs a little better, allowing the fan to run close to full speed  The Hypercool comes with mounting gear for P4 S478, AXP S462 and A64 S754/S939/S940 which should make it fit on all recent motherboards currently on the market.
