Crucial BX100 250GB SSD Review

Storage/SSD by stefan @ 2015-09-02 read/post comments()

With the BX100 we have another very good product for the price which is able to sport very good read speeds and decent writes for the 250GB model, while the 500GB and 1TB versions have even higher rating write speeds. For conserving the costs, the manufacturer has used an aluminum chassis with no screws, but the build is high quality and the internal PCB is kept steady and secure inside. While BX100 does come initially in a 7mm format, we are getting a free spacer with adhesive in order to able to mount it on more systems. read more

OUKITEL U10 Smartphone Review

Mobile/Smart Phones by stefan @ 2015-08-28 read/post comments()

OUKITEL has impressed us with the release of the new U10 model, with features a 5.5’’ Full-HD JDI screen, one of the latest MTK 64-bit SoCs, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, dual-SIM capabilities but also a good Samsung 3M2 13MP CMOS sensor, which is able to produce good quality photos. The manufacturer has adopted a modern design with 2.5D curved glass while on the back we will find a super-thin metal alloy chassis so the phone does have a thickness of only 7.9mm, with the expense of a non-removable battery. The SIM tray can be ejected thanks to the included pin and supports multiple configurations: SIM+SIM or SIM+TF card for storage expansion. read more

SISWOO C55 Longbow Smartphone Review

Mobile/Smart Phones by stefan @ 2015-08-26 read/post comments()

With the SISWOO C55, the manufacturer has created a device for users which are in need of larger screen sizes than the previous C50 while the performance has been also upgraded with a better SoC, now housing eight cores at 1.3GHz each. The camera quality does not disappoint and reaches the impressive levels of color detail which we have also seen with the C50, only that the focus may not be spot on sometimes. The battery has also suffered a small upgrade, but since we are now dealing with a more powerful SoC and a bigger screen size which both consume quite a bit of battery resources, the tests reveal a lower usage time versus the C50. read more

Corsair Strafe Mechanical Keyboard Review

Others/Mice & Keyboards by stefan @ 2015-08-23 read/post comments()

We have reviewed quite a bit of Corsair gaming keyboards in the past and we can say that while they are a bit more expensive, the quality is top-notch and the experience is quite unique. With the Strafe, Corsair wants to introduce its premium products to more budget-conscious people, by eliminating some of the elements like the aluminum layer, the wrist rest or using a single-color LED for the Red/Brown Cherry-MX switches. The product is accompanied by the powerful CUE (Corsair Utility Engine), which offers the same levels of customization as on the more expensive variants and within it we can also update the keyboard firmware to its latest version. For added value, Corsair has also included two sets of… read more

BIOSTAR N3150NH ITX Motherboard Review

Motherboards/IntegratedCPU by stefan @ 2015-08-21 read/post comments()

By including the Celeron N3150 Braswell SoC from Intel, the BIOSTAR N3150NH board takes part of the low-end segment and we can clearly see that from the benchmarks we have ran, since the performance per core is quite low, the Celeron 3205U we have found with the Shuttle DS57U surpassing it with flying colors. The power consumption though is like one third of the mentioned Celeron and the temperatures are much lower too, the included passive heatsink remaining cool during even most stressful conditions. read more

HIS R7 370 IceQ X2 OC 2GB Video Card Review

Videocards/VGA Reviews by stefan @ 2015-08-18 read/post comments()

As we have mentioned before, the R7 370 GPU from AMD is basically one of the most refreshed components from the 300 series since we have seen it since Radeon HD 7850, then in the R7 265/270 cards and now again. While the speeds have been boosted, we have the same architecture involved which basically means that older game titles should work fine at Full-HD resolution but newer titles need to be dialed down at lower detail levels in order to reach playable FPS. read more
